Don't Toy With My Heat When It's Cold Dammit!
Good morning.
Took my guy out for a walk last night and even though I was properly dressed, boots, parka, gloves and a hat, I still got brain-freeze from the cold wind, it was absolutely biting.
I spent the latter part of my evening having an online conversation. I think I dominated the conversation, which is quite unlike me. I just couldn't believe the responses I was getting. Like, this person actually understood what I was talking about. It blew me away. It all boils back down to, if I only knew then what I know now. I'd have a lot more people like this in my life now, and a lot less of the folks I wasted my life on, believing they were my friends. I've met a lot of righteous people in the last couple of years, its just a bit of a shame I didn't meet them sooner in life. My views are still skewed by the past, however, it's getting better all the time.
So this was day one, of Hubby being home with his injury. By the end of the day, I was about ready to throttle him lol. Yeah it started out great, nice to have him here to drive me to town. But then he started driving me around the bend.
Me: Did you turn the heat down Honey?
Him: Didn't touch it.
I go look at the thermostat...
Me: Yes you did turn it down! Please don't turn it down, it's COLD in here.
Him: I never did, didn't touch it.
Me: Yes! You did! I'm NOT blind. I know where I pushed it up to. Leave it alone.
Him: I didn't do it.
Me: Yaya whatever, grrrrrr, leave it!
We had this conversation oh about 30 times yesterday! Every time the furnace kicked on he would sneak over and turn it down, then deny it til the cows come home. It IS cold dammit. At first it was mildly amusing, then it just got really annoying.
Then I'm doing up some dishes. My nice new dishwasher doesn't do pots n pans very well, so, gotta do them by hand. He's in the next room watching TV. Doesn't he crank up the volume every time I turn on the tap! He has it so loud at one point, I can't hear myself think. And this is all between getting him drinks and making him coffee, and feeding him and just generally waiting on him hand and foot. Good grief. Well then he's staying up way past the usual time, because he knows he doesn't need to be up at 5:30 in the morning for work right. It got to the point of "Isn't it time for you to go to bed or something?" LMAO, one down and 6-9 to go, sigh.
Have a fabulous day.
