I'm happily married to Mr. Man. We have 2 daughters, Big R and Little R. I'm a stay at home mom. We moved from the big city to the country, living a dream. I'm a collector and a packrat. I'd rather read a book than watch a movie. I battle depression. I love life, but that wasn't always the case. This is my journal.

Propane And Friends

Good morning.
Went to bed very early last night, so I'm up very early this morning.
It did snow a bit yesterday, you could call them squalls. It is bitterly cold out. We have much less snow than we are accustomed to at this time of year. Glad we don't have a sled any more, sitting there, just waiting to be rode.
I think I now know why Hubby kept turning the heat down on me. We were running low on propane. We were probably down to 2% by the time the truck pulled up at the end of the day. Propane is a funny thing. I hate it. Its a heavy gas, so it drops to the lowest level rather than raise and fill the house with fumes. But for whatever reason, when the tank gets low, you can smell the propane. It just hangs in the basement. Its a horrible smell.
I've been thinking lately, about jealousy and envy. I'm not a jealous or envious type person, really I'm not. I think the only people I envy, ever, are those who have large families. People who have siblings they are close to. People who still have their parents. I really miss all that. When I was younger I had a decent sized family and we were somewhat close. Now, nothing. I miss it, thats all.
I wouldn't even call it envy really. It just makes me think about my own sad situation. But you have to do the best you can and work with what you've got right. That's why I enjoy having friends. Friends are the family you choose, rather than the one you were born into and stuck with. Genuine friendships can fill that void. I just love it when I make a new friend! I love it when I meet someone and we just click. What a wonderful feeling that is.
A true friend is someone who thinks that you're a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked.
Well it's almost time to go get the family up. It's back to the schedule of school etc.
Have a fabulous day!

Thanks you! You're a pretty good egg yourself. And I agree, perfection is so boring.
