Happy Birthday Hubby!
Good morning.
So it was Hubbys birthday. I hadn't got him anything, I was up early and he requested to sleep in. So I thought I would just sneak out, whip over to the store and at least get him some lottery tickets to stick in a card and bake him a cake. I get all dressed up for the bitter cold, get the car all cleared off of ice and snow and off I go. The pile at the end of the driveway, from the plow, hadn't been cleared yet, so I knew I had to gun it to smash through the pile of snow. As I was backing out and I was gunning it, I suddenly felt like I may lose control and end up in the ditch across the street, so I let up on the gas for just a second and thats when I got stuck. The back half of the car was out on the road, the front half still in the driveway. It was the front wheels that were stuck. Of course I tried rocking a little etc. and figured if I kept it up I was going to blow a tire. Better go wake Hubby up to help me. Happy Birthday Hubby, I got the car stuck in the driveway while trying to sneak out to get you something for your birthday, can you get up and get it out for me? He handled the news much better than I had expected him to. So there we were shovelling snow away from the tires, pushing and lifting and it wouldn't move. Eventually a neighbour came over and grabbed the shovel, then helped Hubby with the pushing and lifting and eventually we got it out. While they stood there chattering, because the neighbour had really come over because he wanted Hubbys help with something, I shovelled out the rest of the pile at the end of the driveway. We decided Hubby would come with me and I would actually go to town, rather than just over to the little local store. Then Hubby actually ended up doing the driving. I got what I needed and came home and baked him a cake.
See, I was planning to have a party this Saturday and had even started inviting people. We haven't had a party in a couple of years and I felt we were due. But due to money restrictions due to Hubby not working for a month, he made me cancel it. I'm glad he did, because he was right, we have no freaking money. It does take money to put on a party, you need lots of food and booze etc. I just feel bad, I feel like he burns on his birthday all the time. He doesn't care, like he says, he's 44 years old, he has a great Christmas, he's ok with it lol.
Ah well, today is a new day. Time to get back on the phone with the people with the money.
Have a great day!
