I'm happily married to Mr. Man. We have 2 daughters, Big R and Little R. I'm a stay at home mom. We moved from the big city to the country, living a dream. I'm a collector and a packrat. I'd rather read a book than watch a movie. I battle depression. I love life, but that wasn't always the case. This is my journal.

The Ozzy Dream

Good afternoon.
I just awoke from a 3 hour nap. I had a dream. A looooong dream. In fact I woke up a couple of times and said to myself "that was too cool, I want to go back" and would promptly fall back asleep and back into the same dream.
Suppose you were going out with Ozzy Osbournes son, but the Ozzy in the dream was nothing like Ozzy, and his son was nothing like Jack, two completely different dudes. In fact, the Ozzy dude in my dream was actually much more like my late ex-father-in-law, and the son I was going out with, well, I can't even say who he was more like, I think I only saw him once through the whole dream. He was kind of satanic, really dark, greasy hair, in a ponytail no less.
The whole thing was all about the house. Ozzy's mansion, which was nothing like the places I've seen on "The Osbournes". It was in the city, I did see it from outside, from the street a couple of times. You could see it from 2 different streets. The timing was correct because it was winter and at one point I was looking at Christmas curtains, which had been taken down but not yet put away. They were green and red velvet. I met some of the "help". There was the executive personal assistant and another dude who was sort of like security or something. I met a couple of guests. Gawd it was so bizarre.
So yeah the whole thing was the house. I was supposed to be getting ready to go out for a big doo. I can't remember what the occasion was. I got lost trying to find my room and went on a little tour. But prior to that it was just me, the fake Ozzy and another son, who was somewhat like Jack, and I was searching my room and my purse for some anti-depressant pills or something for the other son! There was something about the basement, it was creepy and cavernous. Which is funny because there was something about my ex-in-laws basement too, it creeped me out because it had a dirt floor. It was an old farmhouse. But this folks, this was a MANSION.
And then people started arriving, like the personal assistants and the fake Ozzys wife and their daughters and guests. They were all dressed and ready to go to this doo. I wasn't. I kept saying, "ok, I'll go after this smoke." One of the guests was a girl who had another girl with her whom the first girl was taking care of. There was something wrong with her and she was on this funky motorized thing, more like a scooter than a wheelchair, had to be there folks, thats all I can say. So the caretaker girl came with me to smoke. Thats when I got lost going to my room to get dressed and ready for the doo.
We found parts of this house that I had previously never seen, not known existed.
We ended up walking through this mini grocery store. The first thing I saw was the produce section. There were watermelons! I was all excited saying "you mean any time I want watermelon for dinner I can just whip in here and grab some?" Then there was a theatre, which we peeked in at, and was actually more like an arena, it was huge and there were about 20 people sitting in there watching something. And I thought it was a little strange that we were all going out and leaving all these people behind in THE HOUSE. Then at some point I noticed all the doorways had little labels across the top and we passed "The Bike Shop", which made me laugh and think "I can only imagine what's in there!" Thats how it went then, just touring through hallways, reading the labels over the doors.
Eventually we ran into the security dude who informed us we were way off, not even on the right floor to find my room. He took us to an elevator, which he tried showing us how to use but had to get on with us in the end.
And so, the dream just went on like this until Hubby came in and woke me up because I had asked him not to let me sleep too long.
It was bizarre and so vivid. I think it may have something to do with seeing Ozzy on TV for a brief moment last night. How my ex-in-laws took over, I have no idea. It's not like I even think about them, ever. How anyones mind could ever confuse Ozzy Osbourne and my late ex-father-in-law is waaaaaay beyond me.
I woke up feeling that it was a cool dream and I want to be filthy rich.
Now I'm awake and don't really want to be. Its still so damn cold. Much warmer in bed. The dogs are both here looking at me like PULEEZE, TAKE US OUT FOR A WALK ALREADY. Not a chance. I'm not in the mood for frostbite.
Have a great afternoon.
