I Survived Oral Surgery Yay!
Good evening.
I'm so happy to say "I'm alive! I survived!" lol I always go into any type of surgery thinking I may not wake up. It was fine, the surgeon was a very nice guy, nice change to have someone with a good bedside manner. We got there quite a bit early, because we didn't want to be late and traffic was way more cooperative than Hubby expected. I was getting antsy waiting, so we went outside for a smoke, the doctor followed us out and gave me 2 large sublingual Ativans and told me not to smoke. Well they had me asleep on Hubbys shoulder for the rest of the wait and I no longer worried about having a smoke lol. I am always so happy to wake up when I wake up that I usually cry lol. I don't remember waking up, I don't remember the drive home. I slept most of the day. Now I'm wide awake. Still not supposed to smoke or eat anything. Water and ginger ale is my diet. But me being me, I had some strained and cooled mushroom soup and some ice cream. I was starving.
Little R was in a competition today, so sad we missed it. She did come in 4th in one so she did bring home a ribbon! Way to go Sweetie! I'm so proud of her! She also won money (which they always do) and spent some of it on rides and stuff. The next one is in Mt. Forest on Monday. I've invited my sister to bring my father up to see one of the shows, so I'm thinking this would be a good one.
Thank you for the card S.W. You are always there for me. Thanks. And thank you for taking Little R to the shows and taking care of her and whatnot too.
Well the more I'm awake the more I'm smoking and I know it isn't a good thing. So I'm taking Lorazapam (Ativan same thing) and try to get back to sleep.
Have a good night and sweet dreams...
