Ah The Convenience Of Banking Technology

Good afternoon.
After a whopping 4 hours of sleep, I spent the day driving around. We got a lot of rain, a little ice and some snow to top it off, its all gone now.

The money Hubby gave me wasn't substantial enough to finish my denture project, sigh, just enough to put a dent in the Christmas shopping.

I'm too tired to go to this dinner doo, but have no choice. I'll sleep well tonight.

Had a slightly traumatic, more annoying and embarassing, experience today. You may recall me mentioning Hubby losing his bank card...he still hasn't gone to the bank to get a new one etc. So today he needed to wire transfer some funds and he was using my bank card. There was some problem or other, he was exceeding our daily limit or such, so he had to get on the phone with the bank, while standing at the checkout in a grocery store with a Western Union outlet.
Well, the bank didn't want to talk to HIM, it was MY card, so they wanted to talk to ME. As luck would have it, I was waiting out in the car.
So he had to race out to the car to drag me into the store. If you've never seen my Hubby racing anywhere, it is a sight to behold.
I get on the phone with "Singh" the bank dude, and that conversation was way too long. I had to answer a million and one questions, often needing them repeated, as I couldn't understand half of what he said due to his heavy accent, and the background noise of a large grocery store on a Friday afternoon, with the requisite Christmas muzak endlessly playing, interspersed with a lecture on letting other people use my bank card.
After answering all of his questions to the best of my ability, and not being sure if I was scoring correctly or not, then being left on hold for far too long, he assured me he would straighten things out right away. I had to choose a new PIN right then and there, and was sternly told we had to go to our bank a.s.a.p to have everything reset, new cards, new PINs etc. Ok fine, and thank you.
I swipe my card, it doesn't work. I swipe it again, nothing. Wait a minute, try it again, nope.
Sonofabitch.
Hubby had to leave his drivers license with the cashier while we whipped over to a bank, withdrew the damn cash, and whipped back to complete the transfer. And tomorrow we have to go to our own bank branch and get new cards etc.
But, hey, on the bright side, Hubby will finally replace his lost card. UGH.
Well, I'm off to get ready for the dinner doo. Seems the weather is starting up again, hope the roads aren't too bad.
Have a lovely evening, I will.
